A simple line of text can turn a plain metal circle into a piece that whispers your vows every time you glance at it.

Start with the Story, Not the Stone

What makes an engraving meaningful?

Before you pick a font or decide on a placement, ask yourself: what moment do you want to remember? Is it the first time you said “I love you,” the date you met, or a line from a song that still makes you smile? The strongest engravings come from a clear, personal story, not a generic phrase.

My own favorite is a tiny “stay curious” etched on a client’s band. It was a reminder of the night we first talked about traveling the world together. That tiny phrase now shows up every time she looks at her hand, and it still feels fresh.

Keep it short and sweet

Metal only gives you a few millimeters of space. A good rule of thumb is 12‑15 characters for a standard 2 mm band. If you need more room, consider a date, initials, or a simple symbol. Long sentences become cramped and hard to read, and they lose the intimacy that a short phrase carries.
